Nifty graphical changes in iOS 4

Here’s a nice post by Nik Fletcher about some subtle graphical changes in the new iOS release. This is why I dig Apple products, pretty much every little detail gets a decent amount of polish.

Although the icons in the dock remaining in portrait orientation when the phone is in landscape mode is bewildering. Very unlike Apple. (Here’s an Ars Technica article with an example shot in it.)

Alright…alright… enough Apple nerdery for today. Next post I’ll try to come up with something that doesn’t make me look as much like a giant fanboy.

Jobs on stage at D8

There is a good article up on cnn.com that details Steve Jobs’ talk at D8. Definitely a worthwhile read if you have been following any of Apple’s recent shenanigans.  I especially liked this:

Walt then asks him why he built that operating system on a phone first instead of a tablet. Jobs then drops a reveal: “I’ll tell you a secret. It started on a tablet first.”
